Get started in 3 simple steps
Getting started with a new pedagogical tool can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. By following these simple steps, you and your students can become AR pioneers in no time.
1. Introduce the challenge
Give your students access to the student links below, and go through the challenge together. Discuss the following questions with your class before you start:
8-12 year olds:
- What would your dream house look like in 100 years? Use your imagination!
- What buildings and areas do you think a city will consist of 100 years from now? Let the students come up with at least 40 ideas (e.g. hospitals, schools, cinemas, etc.).
- Have a voting session where the class decides what is to be built during the challenge, and who should create each building.
Next, let your students explore Ludenso Create to get familiar with the tool using these links:
2. Set up a gallery
Let your students solve the problem appropriate for their grade level. To get a live overview of what the students are creating you can set up a virtual classroom, or what we call a gallery, that students can log in to. This is especially useful to drive meaningful classroom discussions and to let students share and communicate their ideas.
3. Explore ideas in AR
To accelerate understanding and inspire your students to develop technology fluency, you simply need to download the Ludenso Create app to an AR-compatible device. To explore your gallery or a single 3D model in AR, you simply need to find it in your menu, open it and click on the AR button. And voilà, you are ready to explore and create stunning videos and pictures!
How to win
To take part in the draw for the prizes, you or the students must share the innovations. You are free to present ideas as a videos, pictures, screenshots, or as PowerPoints, as long as the solution in describes and it's clear what makes it sustainable. To participate in the challenge you must post the contribution on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and use the hashtag #Ludenso and #SustainabilityChallenge.
PS! It's possible to use empty social media accounts for the purpose of the challenge if you don't want to use a personal account. The only thing is that you have to respond if we try to tell you that you have won.
Good luck and have fun!
